About 2 years ago I started using a “boil and bite” sleep appliance purchased over the internet. While it initially helped to reduce the snoring that my wife had complained of for some years, it did not eliminate it. Nor was the level of relief from snoring it provided sustained, as after about a month of readjusting the device, it would start to lose its fit again. After hearing their advertisements on 3AW I decided to go to Dr Ball. As part of their thorough approach, I discovered it was likely that snoring was not my only problem - I was potentially suffering from moderate Sleep Apnoea. That was confirmed after completing a sleep study. I have now been using the appliance provided by dental sleep group for a number of months and can report that since doing so not only does my wife sleep more soundly, I consistently feel more awake, alert and clear thinking. I simply did not realize how good I could (or more like should) feel after a night of sleep. Every day I awake thankful of making the decision to see Dr Ball!
